Emergency First Aid at Work Course (EFAW)

Course Description

The training meets the recommendations of the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981

The course is delivered in one day (6 hours) and learners are assessed throughout with certificates issued upon completion.

The certificate is valid for three years and an annual refresher is recommended.

Course Content

  • Scene Assessment 
  • The role of the First Aider
  • Primary Survey 
  • The unconscious breathing casualty 
  • The non-breathing unconscious casualty
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Choking
  • Seizures 
  • Anaphylaxis
